Last week, I posted this on my Instagram and asked a REAL LIFE question...
The feedback I received indicated that most of you just end up just booking it outta there!
Listen... you never know the day or the hour when you could cross paths with a possible potential, so it's important to be consistent with the upkeep of your appearance. But some days... I get it.... it just ain't happening! So I decided to put together 5 ways to instantly become more attractive right on the spot!
1. Smile & hold eye contact
Again (& again, & again, & again).... SMILE!
This isn't a hunch, this is research! Studies have shown that people who display a happy, joyful disposition are viewed by others as more attractive. And if they're zero-ed in on your pearly whites, they'll be more apt to make eye contact and not even notice how you're dressed.
2. Good posture
Bad posture can be a sign of low self-esteem and makes you seem frail, unkempt, and even distorts your body shape. A person with good posture is seen as confident, strong, young, vibrant, and in shape.
Imagine that there is an imaginary string from your tailbone, up your spine, and through the top of your head. Keep your chest up and your shoulders back, but relaxed. Make a habit of keeping your abs slightly tightened, as if you are expecting a kid to run up and punch you in the gut at any moment. It forces you to keep good posture and it builds your ab muscles over time, which doesn't hurt either!
3. Smell good
Our sense of smell has the strongest effect on our memory bank. Yes, most memories that you have can be associated with a certain smell! So if you want someone to have a good memory of you, then make sure you smell good. They may not even remember what you looked like, but they'll think, "Man, she smelled so good!"
I always keep a small bottle of perfume or scented lotion on me at all times. I'm always grabbing samples from Sephora to keep in my purse. I even have them in multiple places- my purse, car, work bag, work desk, ect. You can even stock up on some inexpensive, off-brand travel sized perfumes and lotions. They don't all have to be Calvin Klein, Gucci, and Tom Ford. Something is better than nothing.
One of the first things I notice about someone is how crusty and dusty they look. Dry lips give off the impression of bad breath and yellow teeth. Even dry hands, elbows, knees, and feet make people assume that you don't shower or take care your body. And if you don't think enough of yourself to lotion up, then why should they even look twice in your direction?
