Your belief about yourself determines your behavior. Your behavior determines your present and future lives and even how you interact with your past: so basically everything about your life.
I don’t know about you, but I have been guilty of accepting lies about who I am from myself and others as things that are true about my identity. But if I wanted to know who I truly am, I had to find out from the One who created me.
Myles Munroe once wrote that when the purpose of anything or anyone is unknown, then abuse is inevitable. If you are operating in life without knowing your true identity, then you will continue to accept treatment from yourself and others that is not in line with what you deserve as a child of God.
I only listed the actual verses here because I did not want to take away your opportunity to honor God in seeking Him. The process of going after the things of God means so much to Him and I did not want to rob you of that.
Look up these verses and compile a list of your favorite verses that speak to the things in your life that are contributing to your current “identity confusion.”
Memorize them…live them…breathe them… believe them.
And congratulations on learning and becoming the true royalty that you already are.
